Michael's passion and intuition for the design process, his resourceful nature, awareness to environment, and his unique eye is conceptually evident in all aspects of his career. Currently, you can watch Michael put his design skills to the test battling cluttered interiors as host and designer on Style Network's Clean House New York. Michael is no stranger to television he placed second in season 5 of HGTV Design Star. He has also played a key role in the design development and re-brand of an existing global hotel chain and was named one of eighteen designers to watch out for by Boutique Design Magazine in 2006. Michael Moeller Design is a flexible design studio focusing on specialty spaces, residential properties, and hospitality projects. The studio structures its time and labor specific to the needs of each project. Michael's trustworthy relationships with industry professionals, contractors, crafts-people, project managers, purchasing agents, architects, and designers allow him to create efficient teams of professionals resulting in a seamless, successful experience for the client. Michael is NCIDQ certified, has over 10 plus years of experience, and received a BFA from the New England School of Art and Design. His career took off with one of New York's top residential design firms, Alan Tanksley Inc., where he honed his knowledge of unsurpassed craftsmanship, distinct furnishings and art, and inventive aesthetics. He also established himself at one of the nation's top ten hospitality design firms, BBGM, where quickly excelled in hospitality design, gaining tremendous poise and skill in client interfacing, project management, and property/brand standard adherence. Michael focuses on the importance of environment affecting physical, emotional, and mental states of an individual. Each interior independent in its style and decor to embrace its inhabitants and utilizing unexpected elements of quirk and comfort to add interest and avoid predictability and rigidity. His interiors always speak to the individuals through strong intent and character.
